February 1, 2018 by Lindsay Connolly

Kensington, PE – ECMA award winning trio’s “That’s all … for now” Canadian Concert on PEI – March 9th

Indian River Festival is proud to present TEN STRINGS AND A GOAT SKIN, the award winning bilingual folk/fusion island trio in partnership with Trinity United Church in Charlottetown on Friday, March 9th at 7:30pm.

The special concert is happening Friday, March 9th at 7:30pm at Trinity United Church, 220 Richmond Street, Charlottetown, PE with doors opening at 6:30pm. Seating is general admission and tickets are $32 (adults);  $30 (Seniors);  $25 (Students with ID).

Over the past several years, Ten Strings and a Goat Skin have had the chance to tour many incredible places around the world. The boys are looking forward to taking a bit of a break, so this will be the last Canadian Ten Strings and a Goat Skin show for a while.

“We feel tremendously lucky to be able to experience the life of professional touring musicians at such a young age, and the thought that we’ve thus far made our living by using our music to make people happy still boggles our collective minds on a regular basis” said the boys before embarking on their US / Canada winter tour.

This special performance will include a list of surprise guest performances and collaborations with Individuals who have help shape the lads musical career over the years including members of Vishten and more!

“Indian River Festival is looking forward to presenting Ten Strings and a Goat Skin’s last performance on PEI before they take a well deserved break” said Indian River Festival Executive Director, Don Quarles. “Their concert at Historic St. Mary’s this past summer was a sellout and they gave the audience an incredible performance and no doubt the lads will deliver the same.”

Tickets are available now for this show online and at the Indian River Festival box office.

They would like to have everyone come out and celebrate with them for this last concert and expect this to be an amazing night of music and friendships. The band will be donating their concert proceeds to the Charlottetown Food bank. It is sure to be a night to remember.

“Our minds are already buzzing with new ideas and possibilities, and we hope that when we get back, you’ll all be around to share in next chapter of Ten Strings and a Goat Skin.”  Rowen, Caleb and Jesse

About TEN STRINGS and a GOAT SKIN

Their ECMA award winning album Auprès du Poêle (“around the woodstove”) invites a new circle of listeners to both a moody and high-energy set of original and traditional songs. Expanding on the Scottish and Acadian roots of PEI’s traditional music, Ten Strings and a Goatskin weave old-school Franco-Canadian, Breton, Irish, and Scottish tunes with wickedly current grooves and clever quirks, flirting with indie’s best moments.
