Under the Spire announces Executive Director’s resignation

Lindsay Connolly has led the organization with dedication and passion for the past four seasons.

Under the Spire, the renowned summer-long concert series, announces the resignation of its Executive Director, Lindsay Connolly with her final day in the role on Sunday August 18th, 2024.

Under the Spire has changed and grown immensely under Lindsay’s leadership. She played an instrumental role in the organization’s rebranding in 2022, as well as the Historic St. Mary’s restoration project. This was accomplished while overseeing community engagement, expanding the diversity of series programming, and fostering partnerships with local and national artists. The organization is in a strong position to continue building for the future and creating an ever-evolving legacy of exceptional musical experiences for audiences and musicians alike.

“I am immensely proud of my time at Under the Spire and what we’ve been able to accomplish together.” said Connolly, “I’m grateful to UTS’ senior staff Melissa and Noelle, the board of directors, and the many volunteers, community members, and stakeholders who have made my time here such a joy. It’s a bittersweet moment, but I believe Under the Spire will continue bringing amazing concerts and community events to audiences for many years to come.”

Under the Spire’s 29th season continues with concerts, community events, and more through August and September, with events hosted Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays, and the occasional Saturday. Calendar and ticket information can be found at www.underthespire.ca, and we encourage all those wishing to give Lindsay a great send-off to attend her final week of concerts.

A search for a new Executive Director will begin soon, with all relevant information available at www.underthespire.ca. The organization has developed a business continuity plan, with the support of our fantastic team of staff and volunteers, to ensure a smooth transition and continued success of the 2024 season.
