Ashley will be joined by Hilda Chaisson, Maxim Cormier and special guest Robert Bouchard, performing traditional Christmas, country and Celtic tunes.
This special concert is happening Friday, December 15th at 7:30pm at Trinity United Church, 220 Richmond Street, Charlottetown, PE with doors opening at 6:30pm. Seating is general admission and tickets are $32 (adults); $30 (Seniors); $20 (Students with ID).
MacIsaac is looking forward to this concert and encourages everyone to join this Christmas celebration. “Come celebrate Christmas with us four Acadians. Hilda Chaisson, Maxim Cormier, the fabulous country star Robert Bouchard and I. We will be playing your favourite old carols and fiddle tunes with a splash of country, it’s sure to warm you on a cold Winter’s night.”
The event is being presented by Indian River Festival as a joint fundraiser with Historic St. Mary’s and Trinity United Church in Charlottetown. The Festival’s Executive Director, Don Quarles is pleased to be presenting this concert during the City’s Wintertide celebrations “We are excited about partnering with Trinity United Church and the City of Charlottetown on this special Christmas concert. It gives us an opportunity to present concerts out of our regular season” said Quarles. Historic St Mary’s Church in Indian River is where the Festival holds its summer season of performances but the venue is closed at this time of year.
“St. Mary’s can get a little cold in December, so this is a great opportunity to present Ashley’s Christmas tour to area fans of Celtic music” Quarles says. MacIsaac is looking forward to coming back to the island and encourages everyone to join this special Christmas celebration “I love coming to PEI in the summer, as does everybody, but what to do during the snowy winter people wonder? Well here is your answer! “
