
Job Title: Content Archivist
Reports to: Director of Operations / Executive Director
Position Type: 30 hours/week
Position Dates: January 15th, 2023 to March 29th, 2024
Hourly: $18
Under the Spire (UTS) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Content Archivist to join our team. As a Content Archivist, you will play a crucial role in preserving and organizing the rich history of our internationally recognized concert series hosted in Historic St. Mary’s, an original Critchlow-Harris building, overlooking Malpeque Bay.
This is a position of 30 hours a week. The work schedule is flexible and will allow for a 50/50 hybrid work environment with options to work from Festival offices or from home, as decided in collaboration with the individual and the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
- Digital Asset Management: Organize the organization’s digital content, including photos, videos, audio recordings, and promotional materials;
- Archival Preservation: Develop and implement strategies for the long-term preservation of physical and digital content;
- Documentation: Create detailed and accurate documentation of each festival season, including artist profiles, event highlights, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the communications coordinator to provide historical content for promotional materials, social media, and website updates.
- Research and Cataloging: Conduct research on the artists, performances, and significant moments from past festival seasons. Catalog and organize the information for easy retrieval.
- Website & Social Media updates: working with the communication coordinator updates & posts through our social media & website
You are:
- A fast learner, and comfortable working independently or with others;
- Familiar with google drive, slack, dropbox, and/ or other shared document platforms;
- Strong with Social Media, and have an interest in learning more about communications;
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with the public;
Eligibility:
This position is funded in part by CreativePEI and the Digital Skills For Youth Program, so eligibility is subject to the following terms:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age inclusive at the start of the internship
- Have completed a program at a recognized post-secondary institution
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status
- Not be in receipt of Employment Insurance during the internship
