Under the Spire’s 2024 Harvest Soupfest Fundraiser will be taking place on October 5th from 1-3PM. Tickets can be purchased here, or by getting in touch with our box office in person (1374 Hamilton Road) or by phone (902-836-3733)
Our annual fundraiser, Harvest Soupfest, is only days away! Join us for the perfect fall afternoon of delicious locally made soups and treats, live music and community connection. There’s nothing quite like St. Mary’s idyllic rural views in October as the leaves change!
With Soupfest approaching, we’re so excited to announce this year’s participating restaurants. These local chefs are preparing their best fall soups in hopes of being recipients of the 2024 Golden Ladle – Fan Favourite Soup (as voted by you!). This year’s participants and their entries are as follows:
- C&B Corner Cafe – Pickle Chowder
- Harmony House – Loaded Baked Potato
- Island Stone Pub – Squash Soup
- North Shore Canteen – PEI Beet Borscht
- Ruby’s Counter – Three Sister Soup (corn, squash and beans)
- Ship to Shore – Turkey Chowder
It wouldn’t be Soupfest without some amazing live music to keep the afternoon rolling! This year’s Soupfest performer is Charlottetown’s own Luka Hall, a well-known island trad musician who graces crowds with his fiddle, guitar and singing skills! Read more about Luka here:
“At just 17 years old, Luka Hall stands as a prodigious fiddle-playing virtuoso hailing from Prince Edward Island. Since the age of 9, Luka has been captivating audiences with his mesmerizing performances, establishing himself as a rising star in the vibrant island trad music scene. In the recent months, Luka has stepped into the spotlight as a singer-songwriter, releasing two self-penned singles ‘When I Saw You’ and ‘The Flowers of Our Nature’. 2024 started off with a bang for Luka, with an opportunity to showcase with Shane Pendergast at the “You’re Roots Are Showing” festival in Dundalk, Ireland in January.”
Soupfest is the perfect fall fundraiser to enjoy while supporting Under the Spire and the ongoing restoration projects at Historic St Mary’s. There are still tickets available for this event, but don’t wait to purchase yours! Secure your attendance today by purchasing your tickets at the link here. See you October 5th at Soupfest!
